  1. The Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA) governs our regional competitions. CHRVA requires that all parents create an account for themselves first and then create an account for each child.
  2. COMPLETE THE USAV MEMBER REGISTRATION THROUGH CHRVA (CHESAPEAKE REGION VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATION) .CHRVA RECOMMENDS THAT PLAYERS REGISTER WITH $25 LIMITED MEMBERSHIP, JUNIOR TRYOUT -10 DAY REGISTRATION.REGISTRATION MUST BE IN THE PARTICIPANTS NAMEONCE THE PLAYER IS CHOSEN FOR A TEAM, IT IS NECESSARY TO GO BACK INTO YOUR SPORTS ENGINE ACCOUNT TO UPDATE BY DESIGNATING THE CLUB YOU WILL BE PLAYING FOR AND PAY THE ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP FEE TO UPDATE THE ACCOUNT TO A FULL MEMBERSHIP
  3. USAV Medical Release Form Completed

FREQUENTLY ASKED TRYOUT QUESTIONS
Q: I can’t make it to your tryout date, will there be other opportunities to tryouts?
A: Register for the make_up date session currently listed on tryout dates. If those days and times are not feasible, please contact the club administration for additional options.
Q: Can my athlete “play up” in age group?
A: Yes, players will be allowed to play up in an age group, however a maximum of 2 age difference.
P layer age eligibility examples:
10U, 11U, or 12U Player can compete on 12U, 12/11U, 13U, 14U, 15U, etc
13U Player can compete on 13U, 13/12U, 14U, 15U, etc
14U Player can compete on 14U, 14/13U, 15U, 16U, etc
15U Player can compete on 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U, 18/17U
16U Player can compete on 16/15U, 17U, 18U, 18/17U
17U Player can compete on 17U, 17/16U, 18U, 18/17U
18U Player can compete on 18U, 18/17U
Note: Boys can play with girls teams 13 and under for USAV tournaments .
Q: Will you make offers at tryouts?
A: Yes, verbal offers will be made at tryout, however a written offer will be sent out as well with the expectation of the player acceptance of the offer within 48 hours.
Q: If an offer is not given at tryouts, does that mean I didn’t make it?
A: No not at all. Sometime we would like to see all of the potential players within an age group before an offer is made.
Q: Will I be notified if I DON’T make a team?
A: Yes, all potenial players will be notified of their status. If you did not make the one of the travel teams, additional play options and training will be provided to you. Spike-It offers a variety of opportunities to enhance skills and compete. (Travel Team, Regional Team, and Winter League).
Q: Can I get my tryout money back if I don’t make a team?
A: Tryout fees are not refundable or transferable
Q: What time should I arrive before tryouts and what should I bring with me?
A: It’s recommended to be at tryouts 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Pre-registration and tryout fee is required prior to your arrival to have a secured slot and expedite the check in process.
